Play
The tutorial, skirmish on random islands, and online against the other testers, across every platform at once.
The testers program
Dead Seas is being tested on the machines it was made for: DOS PCs, PowerPC Macs, the PlayStation 2 and Windows. If you keep one running, we would like you aboard.
What testers do
The tutorial, skirmish on random islands, and online against the other testers, across every platform at once.
What works, what does not, how it runs on your machine. If it ever quits, the game writes a log; send it along.
Every tester's copy is made for them: licensed in their name, which shows in the game, with their own online login.
Testers sign a confidentiality agreement and beta terms: the copy is for testing only, not to pass on or sell.
Wanted aboard
Pentiums and up with a network card. The game finds the card by itself.
G3, G4 and G5, on Mac OS X 10.3 to 10.5 or Mac OS 9.
A modded console that runs homebrew, with a network adaptor for online play.
Old and new: from XP-era towers to today's laptops.
The mess deck
A private board for testers is being fitted out: bugs, builds, machines and battles, signed in with your tester login so it stays among the crew. Until it opens, write to support@deadseas.net and everything reaches us.
Signing on
Fill in the form below with your name and the machines you would test on. It comes straight to the crew.
We send the confidentiality agreement and the beta terms. Sign and return them.
Once they are back, your copy is made in your name and sent with your online login.
